My sister dragged me - kicking and screaming - to a lampwork bead class. It was a one-day intensive course in Branford and within the first hour, I was hooked. Since then I have taken a few classes - my favorite class was with Cynthia Saari at the Brookfield Craft Center. Additional classes include a borosilicate class with Nancy Tobey, a shaping class with Lauri Copeland, and a metal bead class with Pauline Warg at Metalworks in MA.
I was recently featured in a book by Quarry Press called '1000 Jewelry Inspirations.' And will be featured in the upcoming book "Creative Lampwork" by GMC publications (9/20 release).
You can purchase individual beads at "A Bead of Roses" in Monroe, CT and my finished pieces are currently being shown at "Voila Fine Art Gallery" in North Kingstown, RI.
